december 2017

We hope everyone has had a wonderful christmas and a happy new year.   Our kidding started December 14th 2017 with Briar Rose giving us a beautiful set of twins. Snow White followed on December 22nd with a set of twins. Then the real fun started on Christmas eve with Astrid and Sandy both having twins. Christmas morning we woke to find Anstisia had a big girl waiting to greet us and she was soon followed by Thumpers twins, Lilo's girl, Tiana' girl and not to be out done Dutches twins. Then the next 3 days Tinker Bell had her triplets, Rumpenzel had a girl, Ariel had twins, Amillia had twins and Kiara finished it off with a girl. We had a break till January 25th when Opal gave us triplets then Minnie waited til February 2 to have her little boy.  The babies are all growing fast. A few have already went to their new homes while some others are waiting wean from mom. We do have a few that are going to be staying with us and some that are still waiting for their forever homes.   We will be starting our next kidding soon with a couple first time moms who are looking like they want to get it over with.

Whats happening on the farm

Established in 2013, the Berry Hill Goat Farm is a 3 generation family ran farm. Primarily specializing in goats, our farm is also home to hair sheep, rabbits, and a variety of poultry. You will find a wide range of goat breeds here as well, including: Dwarf Nigerian, Pygmy, Tennessee Fainters, Kinder, Alpine, Nubian, Saanen, and Boer.
The goats we raise on our farm serve many purposes. To start, we raise some goats to breed and make babies to sell. After our kids are weened from their mothers, we use the still milk producing does as milking goats. The milk is used for a variety of things. Some of our goats milk products that we have for sale here include: cheese, soaps, lotions and raw goats milk (unpasteurized). Our goats milk is considered animal grade because we do not pasteurize it. Feel free to contact us with any further questions.
